“Hey, everybody!” I’m a Goonie, and a card-holding member of the Monster Squad – a kid at the controls of a 33 year old body. If you care to know, I have a rather unwanted super power that can suck the energy right out of a street light (it’s never the one over there – it’s always the one I’m using). I also have the inimitable gift of being in the wrong place at the wrong time (those stories are for another day). I am happy with a girlfriend and have 2 young boys named Rocco and Jackson.
I’m a rather exceptional individual, with a rather unique sense of humor, or so I like to think… I like to say off the wall (or is that off the cuff?) kind of things that sometimes make no sense at all, but just roll with me – It isn’t the first time, and it definitely won’t be the last time. Most of the conversations I have are in my head, and only the cliff notes come out of my mouth, and usually midsentence during conversation. I scribble when I write because I am a horrible speller and in some severe cases I resort to a form of hieroglyphics. I am a firm believer that if the printing press was the “Greatest Invention of All Time” – then naturally, the Spell Checker is a close second.
I was never in the military, but was part of a military family, which uniquely allowed me to grow up in one place – Southern Maryland. I went to college full time for a year after high school where I began my CG experience, making backgrounds for my computer. After that first year in school, I was hired by one of the largest defense contractors for the military, where I worked as an illustrator for a little less than a year before I was picked up by a lot smaller defense contractor that wanted to double my salary and give me a nifty little gadget, called a beeper! This also allowed me to receive my Top Secret SSBI Security Clearance by the time I was 19. This is where I developed my digital art skills and love for the game – during my 8 years of solitude, in a vault, working as a graphic artist for the Man in the deep, dark underworld of DC (true story). But I have since emerged as a man, winced at the sun, and moved to Raleigh, North Carolina where I’ve been working for the past 7 years in the public sector where I belong.
So, after working for the past 14 years as a 2D artist, while receiving 2 certificates from the School of Communication Arts (Now Living Arts College) for Advanced Computer Animation, and a BA in Computer Animation at Full Sail University (Notably: Valedictorian and receiver of the Advanced Achiever Award for Computer Animation) I feel I can now concur the world one pixel at a time!
With all this being said –
